Frequently Asked Questions (Sample Camera / Swing Videos)

Is the complete cost of the 60 frame-per-second system really only $249? How can that include the software and the camera? Video systems from other vendors are much more costly.
We specialize in turnkey, portable video recording system. We're always looking for the best new technology at the right price. New cameras offer far better quality and convenience at lower cost than older camcorders that have typically been used to capture sports video. Our $249 system includes everything professionals and amateurs need to record swings at 60 frames-per-second and analyze them: the camera, 4 gb of storage memory, our specialized tripod (which opens to nearly 4' in height and collapses to about one foot), a neoprene protective cover and our Premium software. There's simply no need to spend hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars more (unless you wish to upgrade to our 200 frame-per-second system!).

What's the difference between the two 200+ fps camera systems? Why does one cost more?
We offer two Casio models: the FC100 (as part of the $399 bundle price) and the FH20 (as part of the $539 bundle). The FC100 is a smaller, point-and-shoot type of camera. The FH20 is much larger. The main difference between the two is the FH20 has manual shutter control and can take a higher quality video in low light conditions. They both shoot at 30, 210, 420 and even 1,000 frames per second. But if you intend to shoot indoors or in low light, the FC100 will produce videos with considerably more blur of your golf shaft, tennis racket, baseball bat, etc. If, however, you will be shooting outdoors with good light, the FC100 will produce a very good picture, at a considerably lower price.

Is the quality really as good as what I am seeing from the YouTube videos shown here?
The quality is actually better. The videos you see at our web site are converted by YouTube for display on the Internet, which lessens the quality. You can reliably expect this and better quality from swing videos taken by our recording systems.

Can I replay the videos right on the camera with frame-by-frame control?
All of the cameras we sell support frame-by-frame replay. The screen on the 60 fps system is rather small and can be harder to view under bright sunlight. The screens on the two 200 fps cameras are larger and quite visible under all light conditions. If it's really important for you to be able to see the videos immediately after shooting them... particularly if you wish to have two or more people viewing them at the same time...we strongly recommend purchase of our PortaView system.

How do I get the videos into my computer?
All three of our cameras connect via USB into a computer, and all come with the necessary cables to do this. In addition, it is easy to remove the SD memory card from these cameras and plug that card into your computer. Note though, that many older computers do not come with SD card readers. You can purchase an USB-based card reader for less than $10 (from Amazon, Staples, BestBuy, EBay,etc.) so that any computer can read one of these cards.

To get the videos into your computer, simply plug the camera into your computer. Open our software. Go to the Import area. Press one button ("auto import") and the swings are automatically imported to your computer and into our software, ready for review.

You don't need any special requirements for a computer. Any modern laptop or desktop unit will work fine. Windows XP or Vista, or any Mac system, will run our software.

Do you offer a guarantee or return policy?
We guarantee you'll receive the video quality you can see here, as long as you shoot your videos outdoors under decent lighting conditions (or are using the FH20 camera). If you are not happy with the video quality, we'll offer a full refund, as long as you ship the unit back to us within 15 days of your receipt of it. Note: we have never had one of these systems returned.
