Getting Camera Video on the PortaVew
When your camera is turned on and plugged into the yellow cable of the PortaView (and the PortaView screen is turned on), you should be seeing on the PortaView whatever is showing on the camera. If the PortaView remains as a blank, blue screen, first try switching the V1/V2 button on the PortaView screen. If that doesn't produce an image, find the MENU or SETTINGS button on your camera. Scroll through the various options until you find one labeled "Video Out"  or something similar (often under the SETUP tab). The preferred setting for this is NTSC 4:3. This produces a video on the PortaView that takes up the entire PortaView screen. However, this setting may not work on all cameras. If it does not, try NTSC 16:9. This is the most compatible setting.
